

Dr
John Ley is a native Londoner. He grew up
in the Oakridge area of London graduating from Oakridge High School in
1983. He has been married since 1989 and lives with his wife, two
children and one dog in the Masonville area.
Dr Ley
graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in genetics from the
University of Western Ontario in 1987.
Dr Ley
graduated with Doctor of Dental Surgery with Distnction from the
University of Alberta in 1991. Dr Ley received the added level of distinction with his
dental degree by having achieved honours marks in each of his four years
at dental school. He was presented with several
awards in each of his four years at dental school.
Dr Ley
is unique among general dental practioners by
having completed three additional
years of post graduate training. These include a one year General Practice Residency from the
Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington Vermont (1991-1992) and a two
year residency in Oral Implantology and
Biomaterials from Brookdale Hospital in New
York City (1996-1998).
In addition to full time dental
practice Dr Ley also is an Adjunct Professor at
the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry
at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr Ley
served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Oral Implantology
from 1999 to 2008. Dr Ley has published several articles and a textbook
chapter relating to implant dentisty. Dr Ley has
presented lectures relating to implant dentistry in both Canada and the
USA including the Implant Maxicourse in New
York City.
